Your fence or deck may appear a darker color in the beginning. A new spray typically reaches it’s true color in 10 to 14 days.

Our stain is a semi-transparent stain similar to furniture stain in that variations in the wood, good or bad will be revealed. Knot centers may be darker and the areas around them may appear white. These areas will darken over time.

Fence and deck woods are not furniture quality wood. Dead areas may occur in individual boards. Dead wood is caused by nature when the original trees were cut before being sawn into pickets. Heart wood or the center of trees may also cause variations in the final color, due to the absorption rate. Our specially blended oils and penetrating resins will still be at work providing long lasting water repellency.

Darker colors provide greater UV protection. Just like your skin the greater SPF factor sunscreen, the greater protection from the sun.
